At lunch, Jennifer sits down at a table with her best friend Matt.

“Hi,” says Jennifer, “how is your first day of school so far?”

“Seems okay, I think.” says Matt. “Bearable.”

“Same,” says Jennifer

“It is loud in here,” says Matt, “there are like, a million people or something.”

Matt nervously laughs a little. Jennifer looks at her tofurkey sandwich and takes a bite.

“Why is it so loud in here,” says Matt.

“Why is it so loud in here,” says Jennifer.

Matt smiles at Jennifer and she attempts a smile and feels like she is going to sweat. Jennifer is drinking a Monster brand energy drink. Jennifer tries to think of something to say, but can’t think of anything.
